Odds as of 6:44 AM ET, Nov 3, 2026

Anaheim gets a second look at a Vancouver team it should have beaten a week ago. The Ducks led by three goals with seven and a half minutes left in that game and lost 6-5 in overtime, and that is still the Canucks' only win in their last 13 games (1-11-1). Puck drop at Rogers Arena is 9:00 PM ET.

Our angle is Anaheim's power play against Vancouver's penalty kill. The Ducks convert 34% of their chances, second in the league, and four of their goals in a 6-3 comeback win over Ottawa in their last game came with the man advantage. Vancouver kills 66.7% of penalties, third-worst in the league, and allows 4.5 goals a game, the most of any team. We expect Anaheim to win, with Jackson LaCombe setting up at least one of the goals from the point.

Leevi Merilainen is projected to start for Vancouver. Anaheim hasn't named its goalie: Laurent Brossoit won his last start, and Lukas Dostal is the other option. Lines and power-play units below are projections. Player props may settle differently in overtime at different books.

Ducks vs. Canucks Predictions

  • Pick #1: Ducks Moneyline (-155)
  • Pick #2: Jackson LaCombe Over 0.5 Assists (-135)

PICK #1: Ducks Moneyline (-155)

Vancouver can't get the puck to the net and can't keep it out of its own. The Canucks average 21.5 shots a game, fewest in the NHL, and allow 31.9, the most. They are 3-12-1, 1-6-0 at home, and have scored two goals or fewer in four of their last five, including a 3-2 loss at San Jose and a 4-2 home loss to Toronto since that overtime win.

Anaheim is only 6-7-1, but it is 4-3-0 on the road and scores 3.5 goals a game, ninth in the league. At -155 the Ducks need to win 60.8% of the time. Against the league's worst defense and third-worst penalty kill, we think they clear that. Anaheim has drawn 78% of the moneyline bets and 88% of the money.

What worries us is Anaheim's own end. The Ducks allow 3.79 goals a game, 30th in the league. They gave up seven to Buffalo two games ago and fell behind Ottawa 3-0 before scoring six straight. Vancouver has also won four of the last five meetings, though three of those wins came last season. The goalie is the biggest unknown: Brossoit allowed three goals on Ottawa's first seven shots before shutting the door, and the start hasn't been announced.

PICK #2: Jackson LaCombe Over 0.5 Assists (-135)

LaCombe has 14 assists in 14 games and at least one in 11 of them, including three against Vancouver a week ago. He is projected on the top pair with Drew Helleson, plays nearly 27 minutes a night, and runs the first power-play unit with Cutter Gauthier, Mikael Granlund, Beckett Sennecke and Leo Carlsson. Seven of his 15 points have come on the power play.

-135 implies 57.4%, and his full record last season fell short of that: an assist in 44 of 82 games. The job is different now. Anaheim's power play was 18.6% last season and sits at 34% this season, and his ice time is up from 24:15 to 26:45 a game. He also had an assist in 27 of his last 40 games last season, so this isn't a 14-game blip.

Vancouver's penalty kill is 30th, and the Canucks have allowed four or more goals in four of their last five. An assist still needs someone else to finish, and he went without one in three of his last 10. If Vancouver stays out of the box, his best route shrinks.
