Clemson vs. Syracuse Prediction, CFB Week 10 Odds & Best Bets (11/7)

Fact checked at 9:04 AM ET, Nov 7, 2026
Odds as of 8:07 AM ET, Nov 7, 2026
Clemson (5-3, 3-2 ACC) visits Syracuse (4-4, 2-4) at 12:00 PM ET at the Dome in Syracuse, a year after the Orange won 34-21 at Clemson. Syracuse has won two straight since Steve Angeli returned at quarterback, 31-30 in overtime at North Carolina and 30-27 over SMU. Angeli is probable on the ACC's latest availability report, and the two quarterbacks behind him, Amari Odom and Malachi Nelson, are out. Clemson's list is longer: leading rusher Gideon Davidson, center Harris Sewell, left guard Elyjah Thurmon and slot receiver Tyler Brown are all out, so Jarvis Green figures to start at running back next to freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds.
Our read is a close Clemson win with points on both sides. Syracuse's defense gives a short-handed Clemson offense enough room to score, and the Orange keep pace by giving the ball to Ahmad Miller near the goal line. Clemson is a 2.5-point favorite and the total is 49.5.
Clemson vs. Syracuse Predictions
- Pick #1: Ahmad Miller Anytime Touchdown (+105)
- Pick #2: Clemson Moneyline (-128)
- Pick #3: Over 49.5 (-111)
PICK #1: Ahmad Miller Anytime Touchdown (+105)
Miller has scored in five of Syracuse's seven games against FBS teams, and in all three since he took over as the lead back against Louisville: once against Louisville, twice in the overtime win at North Carolina and once against SMU. He scores even on quiet days. Against SMU he ran 18 times for 56 yards and still got in, and at Virginia he scored on just six carries while Tylik Hill handled most of the work.
Clemson's run defense makes that the right way to bet him. The Tigers allow 123 rushing yards a game, and Virginia Tech and Florida State managed only 70 and 65 against them in the last two games, so Syracuse probably won't break many long runs. Its rushing touchdowns should come from close in, which is Miller's job now. He's had 18, 32 and 18 carries in the last three games, and Hill has had 11, 8 and 10.
At +105 the price implies a 48.8% chance. Angeli can finish a drive himself, as he did on a 26-yard touchdown run against SMU, and a Syracuse day of field goals sinks this.
PICK #2: Clemson Moneyline (-128)
Syracuse has allowed at least 27 points in six straight games: 27 at Pittsburgh, 41 at UConn, 28 at Virginia, 34 against Louisville, 30 at North Carolina and 27 against SMU. Clemson's offense doesn't have to be good to score on that defense. Reynolds threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns in the 36-24 win at Florida State, a game in which Clemson's defense forced four turnovers. The Tigers allow 21.6 points a game to Syracuse's 26.4, and they're 4-3 against FBS teams.
Clemson's injuries are the catch. The Tigers play with a backup at running back and two new starters in the middle of the line, and they've scored more than 28 points only once in five conference games. Syracuse is a home underdog on a two-game winning streak, and six of its eight games have been decided by one score, so this probably comes down to Clemson's defense.
The bigger bettors are on Clemson anyway, with 70% of the moneyline money on 38% of the bets. That price implies 56.1%.
PICK #3: Over 49.5 (-111)
Five of Syracuse's seven games against FBS teams went over 49.5: 83 at UConn, 61 at North Carolina, 60 against Louisville, 57 against SMU and 53 at Virginia. The Orange score 31.4 points a game. Pair that with their defense and a 28-24 Clemson win, the game we expect, clears the number.
Clemson's games have been lower. Only three of its seven against FBS teams went over 49.5, and previews from the Clemson side project final scores of 27-21, 23-21 and 21-15. Both teams get after the quarterback, too, and sacks end drives. But those projections are built around Clemson's missing starters, and Syracuse hasn't held an FBS opponent under 27 since Cal.
At -111, the Over implies 52.6%. Most of the money on the total agrees, 64% of it on 48% of the bets.
