Bears vs. Seahawks Prediction, NFL Week 8 MNF Odds & Best Bets (11/2)

Fact checked at 8:55 AM ET, Nov 2, 2026
Odds as of 8:54 AM ET, Nov 2, 2026
The Bears (5-2) visit the Seahawks (4-3) at Lumen Field for an 8:15 PM ET kickoff on ESPN. No team runs for more yards than Chicago, 154.3 a game, and no defense gives up fewer total yards than Seattle's. We think the Seattle defense wins that fight and keeps this one in the low 40s, while the Seahawks' offense does what it has done all year and runs through Jaxon Smith-Njigba. So we're on the Under and on Smith-Njigba's receiving yards.
Seattle is favored by three. Chicago gets Jeffery Simmons for his debut after the trade with Tennessee, and Montez Sweat and T.J. Edwards are back, but Kyle Monangai and tight end Cole Kmet are out. Seattle plays without left tackle Charles Cross and receiver Rashid Shaheed, puts Quenton Nelson at left guard for his first game with the team, and gets Zach Charbonnet back from a torn ACL.
Bears vs. Seahawks Predictions
- Pick #1: Under 46.5 (-110)
- Pick #2: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 100.5 Receiving Yards (-111)
PICK #1: Under 46.5 (-110)
Seattle hasn't allowed a 100-yard rusher in 36 straight games, postseason included, and that's a problem for an offense that leans on the run as much as Chicago's does. Opponents average 3.5 yards a carry against the Seahawks, second lowest in the league. Last week they held Kenneth Walker III, then the league's leading rusher, to 36 yards on 14 carries, and Kansas City never got inside the 20 in a 20-3 loss. Nobody has gained more than 301 total yards against this defense, and it allows 17.9 points a game.
D'Andre Swift carries the load with Monangai out again, and Kmet's season-ending knee injury takes away another piece. Seattle's offense has its own issue up front. Nelson and Josh Jones are new on the left side, and offensive coordinator Brian Fleury said communication was the biggest challenge of the week. The Seahawks' last two games produced 31 and 23 points: a 17-14 overtime loss at Denver and the win over the Chiefs.
At -110, the Under implies 52.4%. Eight of the 14 games these teams have played stayed under 46.5, four apiece. The money tilts slightly this way too, with 56% of it on the Under from 48% of the tickets. The forecast calls for clouds, temperatures around 50 and almost no wind.
Chicago's big plays are what could break it. The Bears' last two games both landed on 54 points, and their defense gives up a league-worst 8.7 yards per pass attempt. Seattle has had shootouts of its own, losing 33-31 at Washington and 32-29 to San Francisco and beating the Chargers 30-23.
PICK #2: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 100.5 Receiving Yards (-111)
Seattle's low-scoring games haven't slowed Smith-Njigba down. He had 134 yards in that loss at Denver and 150 against Kansas City. The Seahawks get the ball to him whatever the score, which is why this fits with the Under.
The reigning Offensive Player of the Year leads the NFL with 867 receiving yards and eight touchdown catches. Sam Darnold, who has no injury designation, has started the last five games, and Smith-Njigba went over 100.5 in four: 128 at Washington, 102 against San Francisco, then the 134 and 150. The miss was 76 against the Chargers. With Drew Lock at quarterback in the first two games he had 122 and 155, so it's six of seven overall. The price implies 52.6%.
Chicago is a good draw. The Bears have allowed nine completions of 40 yards or more, the most in the league, to go with that 8.7 yards per attempt. With Shaheed out, second-year receiver Tory Horton gets more work.
Chicago's rebuilt pass rush is the worry, with Simmons debuting and Sweat back, because pressure cuts dropbacks short. The 102 against San Francisco cleared by a yard and a half. Charbonnet's return and Nelson's debut could push Seattle toward the run, though the Seahawks ran 41 times against Kansas City and he still had 150. If Darnold doesn't start, pass on this one.
