Pacers vs. Heat Prediction, NBA Odds & Best Bets (10/30)

Odds as of 6:50 AM ET, Oct 30, 2026
Indiana visits Kaseya Center tonight for an 8:00 PM ET tip in an NBA Cup group game that also counts in the standings, and the Pacers are short on bodies. Tyrese Haliburton, Ivica Zubac, T.J. McConnell, Ben Sheppard and Johnny Furphy are out on the latest injury report, Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith are probable, and Lloyd Pierce runs the team with Rick Carlisle away for a family service. We expect this game to stay below the total, with Miami's frontcourt running through Giannis Antetokounmpo. That drives all three picks: Indiana lacks the scoring to push the number, and Antetokounmpo leaves less for Bam Adebayo on the boards and Bobby Portis on the scoreboard.
The Heat are 1-4 and 0-3 at home. The Pacers are 2-3 and 2-1 on the road. That's five games apiece, so every log below is a small sample. Books posted Miami at -3.5 to -4.5 and it now sits between -7.5 and -8.5, with the moneyline at Heat -300, Pacers +245. The total went up at 239.5 and sits at 236.5.
Pacers vs. Heat Predictions
- Pick #1: Under 236.5 (-113)
- Pick #2: Bam Adebayo Under 9.5 Rebounds (-104)
- Pick #3: Bobby Portis Under 11.5 Points (-101)
PICK #1: Under 236.5 (-113)
Without Zubac, Indiana has scored 102 at Milwaukee and 109 against Philadelphia. That second game was also the first without Haliburton, who was averaging 21.8 points, and the Pacers had only nine standard-contract players available. They led the 76ers 88-75 after three quarters and then managed 21 in the fourth. The same five players are out tonight.
Miami hasn't been pushing totals on its own. Take away the 129 at Atlanta and the Heat have scored 106, 111, 110 and 109. They average 113.0 for the season. Put that next to Indiana's 109 and you get 222, so both teams have room to beat those numbers and the game still stays under. One computer projection lands at 231.8 and another at 238.4, so this isn't a runaway call. The -113 implies a 53.1% chance. The total has already dropped three points since books posted it, and with 73% of the bets and 94% of the money on the Under, you're siding with the public at a number that has moved. Some books hang 237.5, and that extra point is worth finding.
The two teams' 10 games split evenly at this number, five under and five over. The danger is Miami at both ends: its defense allows 120.8 a game, and its offense just shot 53% with 70 points in the paint at Atlanta. Indiana has little to stop a repeat without Zubac. The Pacers also scored 136 at Brooklyn, though Haliburton played that night.
PICK #2: Bam Adebayo Under 9.5 Rebounds (-104)
This line looks like last season's Adebayo, who averaged 10.0 rebounds in 32.4 minutes. Next to Antetokounmpo he has 9, 8, 8, 6 and 7 in five starts at 31.2 minutes a night, so the boards have changed and the playing time mostly hasn't. Antetokounmpo took 18 at Atlanta and 14 against Dallas, and Portis added 9 and 12 off the bench in those games. At -104 the Under implies 51.0%, and Adebayo hasn't reached 10 once.
Indiana's weakness inside is the obvious objection. Without Zubac, the Pacers gave up 61 rebounds to Milwaukee, 14 of them to Kel'el Ware in 19 minutes, and Joel Embiid had 11 in the last game. Jay Huff, the expected starting center, played 23 and 16 minutes in his two starts. Adebayo's 9 at Atlanta was one short of losing this bet, and the Over is -126, so the market expects more than the log shows. We'd still go with the role he's had beside Antetokounmpo over the numbers he put up without him.
PICK #3: Bobby Portis Under 11.5 Points (-101)
Portis comes off the bench, and he has in all five games, playing 21 to 27 minutes each night. He has scored 11, 10, 13, 11 and 7, under 11.5 in four of five, and -101 implies 50.2%. Tonight's role looks the same. Antetokounmpo and Adebayo are both expected to start, and Simone Fontecchio, the only Heat player on the injury report (questionable, illness), hasn't played in Miami's last three games.
The case against is his 13.7 points for Milwaukee last season in about the same minutes (24.2). He's taking fewer shots, 11.2 a game then and 9.4 now, on a team where Antetokounmpo averages 27.6, Davion Mitchell 16.4 and Adebayo 14.2. A game under this total leaves less for the sixth man, as it did when he went 3-of-11 for 10 points in the 113-109 loss to Dallas. One projection has him around 10 tonight.
Two of his four unders were 11-point games, so one more basket changes the record, and the Over is -126. Indiana's thin frontcourt could give him easier looks, and a lopsided game could add late minutes.
