Magic vs. Raptors Prediction, NBA Odds & Best Bets (10/30)

Odds as of 6:50 AM ET, Oct 30, 2026
Orlando goes back to Scotiabank Arena tonight for a 7:30 PM ET tip, two nights after a 129-99 loss there, and this one opens NBA Cup group play for both teams. We expect a closer version of the same game: Toronto's pressure keeps Franz Wagner and Desmond Bane under their scoring lines, and the Raptors win by six or more. All three picks need that script.
The Magic (1-3) are without Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac, Noah Penda and Izaiyah Nelson on the latest injury report, and Toronto (3-1) is without Kawhi Leonard. Fewer options should mean more shots for Wagner and Bane, but so far they don't: the pair took 36% of Orlando's shots in the two games with Banchero and 36% in the two without him. That's a two-game sample, and only the last game was also without Suggs, but the extra looks have gone to Tristan da Silva, Anthony Black and Jase Richardson.
Magic vs. Raptors Predictions
- Pick #1: Raptors -5.5 (-115)
- Pick #2: Franz Wagner Under 22.5 Points (-109)
- Pick #3: Desmond Bane Under 19.5 Points (-108)
PICK #1: Raptors -5.5 (-115)
Toronto has forced at least 20 turnovers in all four of its games and allows 102.5 points a game, the fewest in the league. Orlando has committed at least 16 in all four and scores 107 a game, 28th of 30. Two nights ago that added up to 20 Orlando turnovers, a 23-12 edge in fast-break points and a 45-34 edge on the glass, with Scottie Barnes scoring 28 and RJ Barrett 25.
Toronto's two home games were a 135-92 win over Chicago and that 129-99 win. Books posted this at 4.5 and it has reached 5.5. The -115 price implies 53.5%, and some books deal it at -110.
These are four-game numbers. Toronto is 1-1 without Leonard, also a two-game sample, with a 117-94 loss at Minnesota next to the Orlando win, and it shot 15 of 35 from three two nights ago. About 80% of the bets and the money are on Toronto, and one public projection has it by only 3.2. Orlando did win at New York without Banchero, and it has had two days of film on this opponent.
PICK #2: Franz Wagner Under 22.5 Points (-109)
Wagner has scored 22, 18, 23 and 15, clearing this number once in four games. He's averaging 19.5 and averaged 20.6 last season, so the line already asks for more than he usually gives. The Under at -109 implies 52.2%.
Toronto went at him two nights ago. Much of its attention tilted his way with Banchero and Suggs out, and league tracking had Barnes holding him to 0-for-3 shooting with four turnovers in the six minutes he guarded him. Wagner finished 4 of 11 with seven turnovers, and 7 of 8 at the line got him to 15. Only one player has topped 22 against Toronto in four games: Anthony Edwards, with 26.
Volume beats this bet if anything does. He took 23 shots at New York, his first game without Banchero, and scored 23, with 21 of them in the fourth quarter. His two games without Banchero landed on either side of the number, 23 and 15, and two games don't settle much. Two seasons ago he averaged 24.2 points on 19.4 shots, so he has that gear, and Orlando has talked about freeing him up and cutting its turnovers. The Over is priced at -117.
PICK #3: Desmond Bane Under 19.5 Points (-108)
Bane's shots haven't moved. He took 15 and 11 with Banchero and 13 and 14 without him, and he has played at least 27 minutes every night. His points have gone 18, 5, 22 and 13, under this number in three of four. At -108, with the Over at -118, the Under implies 51.9%.
The question is whether the shooting holds. He's 16 of 53 from the floor and 10 of 36 from three, and threes are about two-thirds of his shots. Toronto has held opponents to 29.5% from three over its four games, though Minnesota hit 15 of 31 in one of the two games without Leonard.
Regression is the risk. Bane hit 48.4% overall and 39.1% from three last season while averaging 20.1, so this line sits just under his normal. One warm night clears it: he had 22 at New York on 4-of-9 threes and 6 of 8 at the line. That 22 and a 13 are his only games without Banchero.
