Week 15 of the NFL will conclude on Monday night with an AFC matchup between the Miami Dolphins and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This game is scheduled for tonight, December 15th, and has an expected kick-off time of 8:15 PM ET. The two squads will face off at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and will be broadcast on ESPN/ABC. PICK #1: Pittsburgh Steelers ML (-166) Click Here to Bet

Our first pick for this game will target the Steelers to win. Pittsburgh enters this game with a mediocre record of 7-6; however, they are still in a prime spot to secure a playoff spot, as they currently lead the AFC North over the Baltimore Ravens.

The Steelers have not been consistent lately, having won just three of their last six games. That said, they are coming off an impressive win over the Ravens in Week 14 by a score of 27-22, which allowed them to take control of the division. 

The Dolphins, on the other hand, enter this game with a record of 6-7. Their playoff hopes are hanging by a thread, as they are currently sitting as the 10th seed in the AFC. Miami has played well lately, having won each of its last four games. 

However, three of these wins came against the Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets. All three of these teams are among the worst in the NFL, so even though Pittsburgh is not one of the best, it is still a huge step up from their recent opponents.

There is also the fact that the Dolphins’ quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, does not have a healthy track record in games played in the cold. He did just lead the Dolphins to a win against the Jets in New York; however, with the Steelers being a much more complete team, there is reason to believe he will struggle.

The Dolphins have plenty of motivation in this game as they are still fighting for a playoff spot; however, with the Steelers playing for the division, backing the Steelers to win will be our play.

To go along with the Steelers to win, our second pick will back the Over. Neither team has been explosive offensively, with Pittsburgh averaging 23.7 points per game (14th), while the Dolphins are averaging 21.6 points per game (21st). However, defensively, both teams are about average to below-average, with the Steelers allowing 23.9 points per game (20th) and the Dolphins allowing 22.8 points per game (15th). 

Despite both teams not having the most efficient offenses, there are a few notable injuries that could help each side score. For Miami, they will likely be missing safety Elijah Campbell, while Pittsburgh will be without cornerback James Pierre, linebacker T.J. Watt, and possibly defensive tackle Derrick Harmon. 

The Over is also 9-4 this season for the Steelers and 8-5 for the Dolphins. With that, our pick will be Over 42.5 total points.

PICK #3: De’Von Achane Anytime Touchdown (-130) Click Here to Bet

Our final pick for this game will be for De’Von Achane to score a touchdown at any time. Achane has played a huge role in the Dolphins offense this season, highlighted by the fact that he leads the team in total touchdowns with 11. Of those 11 touchdowns, seven have been rushing, with four being receiving.

Achane has especially been effective lately, having scored at least once in nine of the Dolphins’ 13 games this season. Further, Achane has scored four touchdowns over the last four games. 

As mentioned previously, the Steelers’ defense is dealing with numerous injuries, most notably T.J. Watt, who has already been ruled out for this matchup. Without Watt’s presence, the Dolphins are likely going to have much more success running the football, which in turn is going to mean more touches for Achane. 

Additionally, the Steelers defense has been middle of the pack when it comes to defending the run. They have allowed a total of five touchdowns to opposing running backs this season; therefore, backing De’Von Achane to find the end zone at least once will be our play.
